William Jewell College broke a four game losing streak in downing Rockhurst University 64-61 Monday afternoon in downtown Kansas City.

The Cardinals used a three-point shot from Chris Uz to take the lead, then held on as Rockurst took a long three and a followup three to try to tie the game, both glancing off the rim.

Jewell (5-8, 2-5 in the GLVC) got 20 points and 12 rebounds from Nick Larson, and Uz's 18 points all came on three point shots.

Rockhurst (5-10, 2-5) lost their sixth straight contest.

Jewell travels to the University of Missouri-St. Louis for another GLVC contest Thursday night at 7:45.
