Seventh-seeded William Jewell College junior goalkeeper
Joe Keeven recorded six saves, but No. 2 Quincy University used five goals to complete a 5-1 victory over the Cardinals in Saturday evening's Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championship tournament quarterfinal men's soccer contest at Quincy, Ill.
With the loss, Jewell concludes its 2012 season with 11-7 overall record. Quincy moves to 12-1-5 on the season and will play in the GLVC semifinals on Friday, Nov.2.
Quincy got on the board first at the 10:33 mark scoring on an own goal. Quincy would add to the lead just before halftime when Jeff Vaninger kicked home his tenth goal of the season.
The Hawks extended their lead to 3-0 a minute into the second stanza when Jordan Roberts punched in a goal from seven yards out. Vaninger then beat two defenders and scored his second goal of the contest to up the lead to 4-0, before Michael Andres drilled a shot into the net in the 69th minute of play.

Zane Christenson got the Cardinals on the board when he scored from 18 yards out from the top of the box at the 75:25 mark, making the score 5-1.
The Hawks' goalkeeper D.J. Lampert finished with six saves in the winning effort.
