The Cardinal men's basketball team lost a closely fought game with Missouri S&T Saturday in Rolla, losing 65-52 to  fall to 7-16 on the year and 4-13 in the GLVC.

Jewell had two leads of seven points in the first half, but trailed 29-28 at half.  The Miners (7-18, 6-11), who won their fourth straight game, shot 52% from the floor in the second half compared to Jewell's 40%, and put the game away down the stretch with key three-pointers.

Nick Larson scored 28 points and had 15 rebounds to lead the Cardinals, who also got 10 points from Mark Mason and nine points from Chris Uz.

Jewell returns to the Mabee Center for their last regular season game and Seniors Night on Thursday against Rockhurst.
