The William Jewell College baseball team was swept in its doubleheader against St. Joseph's College Saturday afternoon in Rensselaer, Ind.
The Pumas took the first game, 8-2 and took game two 9-4.
In game one, St. Joseph's scored all 8 runs in the first three innings plating home three in the first and second and scoring two in the third.
Jewell picked up single runs in the fifth and seventh inning respectively.
Clarke O'Dowd finished the contest two for four with a run scored and
Kaleb Shaw also finished two for four for Jewell.
David Collins (2-3) suffered the loss hurling seven innings giving up 14 hits and 8 runs (5 earned) while striking out 5 and walking two.
In the nightcap, the Pumas jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the third inning and then put the game out of reach with four runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Jewell picked up single runs in the first and second and two in the top of the seventh.
Preston Felgate (2-3) took the loss tossing three and 2/3 innings giving up 8 hits and 9 runs (5 earned) while striking out one and walking three.

Tom Herrera each collected two hits.
Bryan Rezin went one for four with two RBI's.
The Cardinals (7-10, 0-6 GLVC) return to the field tomorrow when they face University of Indianapolis at 12:00 p.m. in Indianapolis, Ind.
