Quincy University eliminated the William Jewell College baseball team from the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament on Saturday, winning 5-0.
 
The Cardinals will now await word on the regional tournament assignment which will come out tomorrow (Sunday) evening.  Jewell now stands 37-17 overall and 24-12 in the GLVC.
 
The top seeded Hawks scored three in the fourth and single runs in the sixth and eighth.  Quincy starter Graham Sparker held the Cards to only four hits in eight innings of work to pick up the win on the mound.
 
Billy Kirkpatrick (4-4), took the loss for Jewell going five innings giving up five hits and four runs.
